Dear Sir,

I am contacting you to say that I was very disappointed with the quality of the coffee that I got in your shop at Waterloo Station yesterday Sunday 6th September.

I asked for a large Cappuchino. The drink was produced and looked to be very nicely made.

However when I tasted the drink I found the it was stale.

I asked for a replacement which was produced quickly and without problems.

However the replacement drink, while better than the first one, was also somewhat stale.

I did not complain again but left the drink on a table and went to find another coffee elsewhere, since I did not feel that there was any point in complaining again.

I know that when coffees are made by automatic machines the resultant coffee can and should be very good.

However I am aware that the machine must be cleaned internally evey few minutes. to clear out deposits of stale coffee in the delivery tubes.

But when shops are busy it is very easy to ignore this vital procedure, and this is obviously what is happening.

The coffee is not cheap and I feel that I wasted £3.78

It is very disappointing.

I hope that you will be able to remind your staff of the problem.

It seems to be a pity that these machines do not have a system that stops them working when the deposits have build up to the point when the quality is degraded.

Thank you.
